TC Jester Dog Park users have made HDPA aware that they do not like the new mulch ground cover recently added to the dog park. They say it is too large. Dogs are hurting their feet on it which we are sad to hear, and poop is hard to find amongst the large brown pieces which is not good. We also hear dogs are eating it and getting sick and to that we say "Watch your dog much?". Keep your eye on your dog, it is the #1 rule in a dog park. HDPA suggests you keep your eye on your dog so you can prevent him from getting into trouble. HDPA would like to let all park users know that the same mulch is on the ground at the other "small" dog parks around Houston. It is a fact that the park is too small to allow grass to grow due to heavy traffic over a small concentrated area - and that is the real problem. HDPA is advocating to get the size of the park increased. You can help by writing a letter to the City Parks Dept. or City Council Member Brenda Stardig asking for an increase in size for TC Jester Dog Park.
